  5. Working on bindings for Psetgroups() and Pgetgroups(), I cam across the
  6. following question: my (self-made) library defines gid_t (and uid_t)
  7. as unsigned char, because the manual page for Psetgid() etc clearly
  8. states that legal values range from 0..255.
  9.  
  10. Question: *why*? In the PROC and XATTR structure, I found shorts. Am I
  11. missing something or could this restriction be lifted?
