- Working on bindings for Psetgroups() and Pgetgroups(), I cam across the
- following question: my (self-made) library defines gid_t (and uid_t)
- as unsigned char, because the manual page for Psetgid() etc clearly
- states that legal values range from 0..255.

- Question: *why*? In the PROC and XATTR structure, I found shorts. Am I
- missing something or could this restriction be lifted?
